Close-up of a gloved hand holding two vials of blood samples for testing at Parkview Chiropractic, Chiropractor Oakdale MN.Also referred to as the sunshine vitamin, vitamin D is critical to overall health and immune function. Here, in Minnesota, the vitamin D levels of people tend to be fairly low. When levels are low you can be more susceptible to sickness and disease.

What Studies Are Showing

We are seeing emerging studies that reveal a relationship between low levels of vitamin D and more severe outcomes and reactions to COVID- 19. Specifically, there have been more hospitalizations of those with low vitamin D. and more severe complications.

Find Out What Your Level Is

Most people in our area test at 10-20 nanograms/milliliter (ng/mL) but we are looking for a level of 60 ng/mL. These days as we’re dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, it’s more important than ever to boost your vitamin D level so you can fortify your body against the virus as well as the flu.

Getting tested is quick and easy. It just involves a simple finger prick. Once we find out what your level is we can take the appropriate steps needed to get your numbers where they need to be.
